Safeguarding

Keeping children and young people safe

Everyone who takes part in COAL's work has the right to be safe, respected and protected from harm.

We work with children, young people and community partners, and we take our responsibility to protect them seriously. Our staff, board members, volunteers and partners are expected to follow our safeguarding policy and code of conduct.

Our policy

We are currently updating our safeguarding policy. The updated policy will be published on this page once it has been approved by our board.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person or vulnerable adult connected with our work, please contact us at info@coalng.org. Mark your email "Safeguarding". Every concern is taken seriously and handled confidentially.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the local police or emergency services first.
